About AI DEV
This site started from a practical problem: writing the same kind of prompt over and over while building software, and losing time reformulating something that should have already been ready to go.
I'm a computer science instructor and systems analyst, and I build educational tools and AI products day to day — from question generators for public exams to AI-assisted essay grading platforms. This blog comes from that same instinct: turn a manual, repetitive process into something tested, documented, and reusable.
Our Mission
New models and tools ship every week, and most of what gets written about them is either marketing copy or hype. Our goal is to cut through that: test the prompt, run the comparison, and tell you plainly whether something is worth your time.
What We Cover
We create content for developers who actually use AI day to day, focusing on:
- Prompt Engineering: tested prompts and techniques for real development tasks — debugging, refactoring, documentation, and more.
- AI Coding Tools: honest comparisons between coding assistants, agents, and IDE integrations.
- Tutorials: step-by-step guides for getting more out of the AI tools you already use.
- Chatbots & Model Releases: plain-English breakdowns of new model launches — what changed, what it costs, whether it matters.
Why Trust Us
Every prompt and workflow published here is tested against real code and real tasks before it goes up, not copy-pasted from a marketing page. Models change often, so we say when something is time-sensitive instead of presenting it as permanent truth.
